A concrete crushing/regrading
project at a former Falstaff
brewery in Chicago, Illinois.
25,000 tons of slab concrete &
building materials were processed
and mounded in a low elongate
pile. Initially, the presence of
building foundations and steel
rebar were unknown.
An extensive amount of rebar
was found during the initial
excavation of the concrete piles.
Torches and cut-off saws were
used to remove the rebar prior to
crushing or regrading activities.
